Welcome to Amas Veritas [dot] com

Updates: Media (lyrics) has a new layout. I could never figure out how to lay it out, but it's easier to navigate now. I'm still working on a better duplicate Mamblog mod. I'm trying to make submittions easier but the poetry form died for some reason. Quizzes are also on their way from the old site. Joomla content isn't very code friendly so I'm having to rewrite old code. You can still click on News > AH v21 > Screen if you wish to use the quizzes.

Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Okay. I guess it's nice to know there's a method to this maddness. Part of it anyways. Let me see, this includes OCD, agoraphobia, social phobia, PTSD, panic disorder. I don't recall the full conversation. I was having a pretty bad day. My web server's down, Dell is sending me a replacement hard drive overnight because one of the four in my server is ticking. They also suggested I reinstall the operating system. That should be fun weekend-long project. No access to pogo.com...I got the DOOM song on DVD. It was on TV today. My dad & I went to see Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire, it was well done. I liked it better than the book but they really glossed over a lot of things and it still lasted around 2.5 hours. It got everything in there which I was surprised about but Barty Crouch, Jr. isn't under the invisibility cloak like in the book, Blinky isn't in the movie, the dragon scene with Harry & the Horn-tail is much longer and dramatic in the movie. Also, Bill & Charlie Weasley aren't in the World Cup scenes, we never see them. Everyone is exactly how I pictured them to be though, Flur (sp?) & Krum are almost exactly how I pictured them in the book. Voldemort is pretty creepy too, but younger looking than I imagined, and I think he was lacking the British accent, he sounded American which was odd since they've managed to fill the entire cast with British-accented people. Even the ending part with Voldemort was just how I pictured it. I was good, you all have to see it. It's probably great to see in IMAX. I only read that book once though because it FELT like long book. It lagged in places. As soon as the web sever is running again (it's questionable as to when that will be) I plan on offering up mp3's. That's actually how I found out the hard drive was down, I went to transfer the mp3's over and my d:\ drive "could not be found." I now can't see my desktop so to open a program I have to hit Ctrl+Alt+Del, select File > New Task (Run...) and choose the program I want. It's a small disaster. Well, I'm gonna go read, I can't think of anything else to do that doesn't give me the "doom" feeling.

I feel grotesque. I got in the shower at 8:15pm and stayed there until I thought my parents might start banging on the door, probably an hour or a little more. I can't stop crying, nightmares and remembering, I want to cut away all the bad parts. I need something to mute it all. I can't talk about it because I just get worse but I feel so alone in it. It was better when I could pretend it didn't happen. At least then I was getting on with my life. The world is a horrible place, and there's only one way out.

I spent all last night figuring out my iPod because I have today off. It's so awsome. You can even save an image of the cover for the specific album and it shows on the screen when each song plays. The navigation is weird, you move your finger around the gray circle to go up or down menus. It sounds like I've got the CD playing on a discman only there's no skipping and this thing slips in your pocket if you don't want to hold it. It weighs like a few ounces. Anyhow, I've slept all day and now I need to shower and buy food :-( I've only eatten grapes today. I'll just go out and buy one of those mini goldfish cartons or something. I actually have a stomach ache from too many grapes...

I just got iPod nano!!! It's the cutest little thing I've ever seen. And I only paid like $50 at brandarama.com. It comes with earphones, iTunes, USB cable and everything. It even has GAMES on it! I'm totally psyched. I can't figure out how to navigate it though. When I just move my finger over the little thing in the middle, it just goes crazy, I can't figure out how to get from one place to the next without flying all over the place to get there. Good thing it came with earphones because my are totally screwed up (and I currently cannot find them).
