Welcome to Amas Veritas [dot] com

Updates: Media (lyrics) has a new layout. I could never figure out how to lay it out, but it's easier to navigate now. I'm still working on a better duplicate Mamblog mod. I'm trying to make submittions easier but the poetry form died for some reason. Quizzes are also on their way from the old site. Joomla content isn't very code friendly so I'm having to rewrite old code. You can still click on News > AH v21 > Screen if you wish to use the quizzes.

Unseen Hands Print E-mail

The soft sensual lull of the humming machines
Broken and battered by unseen hands
Forceful yet vigilant, they lie and cheat
With heartless souls of stone.
To reconsile take my hand
Learn patience from watching me
For I am the machine you battered and broke
The other me inside
One who feels hunger, cries tears of pain
I'm lost without your steel facade
Drink me in or I'll fade away
And shelter me in battle
For you and I are two pieces
Of the same amazing whole
Hidden away with your own hands
So you could take control

Location: Las Encinas Hospital (again)

Darkness Unimagined Print E-mail

In silence, the dark surrounds
sneaks up with means to strike
it softly drifts from house to house
in search of simple vice
In and out through open books,
from books to children's hearts
soaking in each lie they've told
like justly aimed new darts.
Like howling dogs at peak of night
the darkness holds its own
for darkness unimagined
Isn't darkness alone.

Silent Town Print E-mail

For all your sake
I break the tie
The tie that binds me
To this life
For hopes of laughter
so sincere
the burden lies
in being here
forgive me
for feeling pain
hoping not to
feel again
on wounded knee
i beg of you
to let me live
a life anew
without your guilt
to hold me down
please free me
from this silent town.
