Welcome to Amas Veritas [dot] com

Updates: Media (lyrics) has a new layout. I could never figure out how to lay it out, but it's easier to navigate now. I'm still working on a better duplicate Mamblog mod. I'm trying to make submittions easier but the poetry form died for some reason. Quizzes are also on their way from the old site. Joomla content isn't very code friendly so I'm having to rewrite old code. You can still click on News > AH v21 > Screen if you wish to use the quizzes.

So if you didn't already know, I've decided to take a leave of absence from school and go into the hospital. My life is really shit right now and it's only getting worse. So I e-mailed the Dean of Students here at Oxy to get his opinion. The letter is as follows:

Hello my name is ***** *******, we spoke about two weeks ago. I have a question I want to ask but I'm not really sure how. My mother mentioned to me that students had taken a leave of absence. I have thought a lot about this and believe this is the only way I am going to get better. I have not mentioned this to anyone because I wanted to get your opinion first. I do not feel I can continue this semester without proper treatment and that would require that I leave school. It has been suggested to me that I do not continue pushing myself towards an unattainable goal. I would like your opinion on this matter before I go any further. If you could get back to me on this as soon as possible I would appreciate it. Also, if you would not inform my mother (though I'm sure you wouldn't), I do not plan to involve her at this point in time. Thank you so much for your time.

Professional enough? I think so. Though it sounds a little desperate to me. Hopefully he'll get back to me today so I can let you know what he said.
