My lizard will only eat his Iguana pellets if they're sitting in the sand. He won't eat them out of his bowl. He won't eat his cauliflower anymore even if I lace it with strawberry flavoring. He won't eat anything I add vitamins to or any of the "recommended" vegetables for a Uromastyx. He HATES when I use the electrolite spray on him or when I give him a bath. He'll eat a couple of pieces of water mellon every now and then or iguana pellets dry (off the ground) or after I've soaked them in Glaceau Smart Water and they've heated up a bit in his cage. He's so strange. Totally cute, but strange. Lizards [Uromastyx] seem simple to care for but you still have to walk them, bathe them very regularly, clean their home with a fine tooth comb (almost literally), they don't come when you call them, they can't be house trained, they don't entertain themselves, they don't drink water when they're thirsty and you can't hide their vitamins in a hot dog. However, they don't bark or dig in your garden, they aren't given the chance to escape under the fence, they won't chase the mailman, they don't shed all over the house, they won't wake you up at night to go out, and they won't jump all over your visitors. My lizard has been with me for five years, though I don't know his actual age, and even though I don't understand him or his constant change in behavior and eating preferences, he's still totally awesome. I especially enjoy the look on the faces of my family & their various friends when I bring him out. Like I couldn't own a terantula and I think anyone who does is insane, I think they think the same about me and my lizard.
Okay anyway. I just did my business sales tax return & renewal thing for westvillagedesign.com and it looks like [in California anyway] if you have less than $100,000 gross receipts you don't have to pay sales tax. Small Business Incentives. Of course I'll have to pay income tax on it but the $0.00 that I just had to pay to the city/state definitely helps.
