Welcome to Amas Veritas [dot] com

Updates: Media (lyrics) has a new layout. I could never figure out how to lay it out, but it's easier to navigate now. I'm still working on a better duplicate Mamblog mod. I'm trying to make submittions easier but the poetry form died for some reason. Quizzes are also on their way from the old site. Joomla content isn't very code friendly so I'm having to rewrite old code. You can still click on News > AH v21 > Screen if you wish to use the quizzes.

I used to watch television religiously. I used to follow characters of Everwood, Gilmore Girls, and West Wing so closely I could have become one of them for a day. I can't even watch television anymore, I have no clue what shows are on television anymore. I turn on cartoons when I get home from work (if there are any left on that late) because on the regular channels, every other commercial is about food or a diet or diet pill. Besides, just having a show on that has a plot upsets me because as much as I want to be able to follow it, I can hardly follow a conversation that lasts more than ten seconds. I wish I wanted the friendships and a relationship but having to focus on something other than my food or how freaked out I am makes me so tired which makes me sad that I can't do it and then I have to end the relationship in order to feel better. According to this article at WebMD.com, there are no specific foods or vitamins known that will improve concentration or memory in the long and short term. They recommend "whole foods" like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains (as opposed to processed sugar and white flower). I guess that's logical, but a little disappointing. I'm always looking for the "quick fix" of course.
