DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT use the ds_loryann template. If you go there, you'll have no way of returning to a useable template. The ds_loryann template is just something I'm playing with so it does not have any data on it right now nor does it have a template chooser, in fact I am stopping right in the middle of [totally screwing it up]. If you go there and get stuck, don't come crying to me! I warned you!
Now that that's taken care of, I'm getting the hang of the module position concept, how to set them and what they mean, but all the templates that I have use <div> tags and I don't like using those. I'd prefer to use tables and leave it at that. Nested tables are usually a piece of cake for me but I've just never found it necessary to take on <div> tags. I'll get a new template up eventually. I'll keep you posted.
