A friend died today
she was everything to me
I don't know how to express
just how much she meant to me.

I lost her to her worries
the pain she held inside
I lost her to her habit
of cutting when she cried.

She knew my every secret
And i her every sorrow,
We helped each other through each day
And every last tomorrow.

But I am left to face the days
With emptiness and pain
I will think of her always
And soon I'll see her again.

Her pain had turned to anger
the anger then to hate
She used the sharpest thing she had
A broken metal plate.

She bled out all the pain inside
but pain was much too strong
The blood ran out so freely
It didn't take too long.

Now she lies so silent
Expecting some relief
She thought she'd go to heaven
At least that was her belief.

A friend died today
but she is in my heart
I will think of her always
And we will never part.
