Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice
From what I've tasted of desire,
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
--Robert Frost, "Fire and Ice," 1922
Some say death by electrocution is more humane
some say gas
from what i've experienced of pain
i side with those who are legally sane
but if we had to kill them twice
i think i know enough disdain
to say that for death electrocution
is as humane
for the legally insane
