I don't feel like the person I see in the mirror. I look in, at this person looking back at me. I look her over, judge her, find all her faults, then I proceed to fix them. Fault: She's not skinny enough. Solution: Don't feed her. Fault: Her skin's too pale. Solution: Don't allow anyone to ever see it. She is an embarrassment to be with. I can't bring her anywhere. As long as I cannot feel her, as long as I do not allow anyone to touch her, she's not really there. And maybe no one can see me. And maybe I'm not really here. But then if that were true, everything would be okay.
